We look to provide a safe, supportive environment for our members to enjoy their chosen pastime, in the company of friends with a similar interest. All individuals are encouraged to improve their skills, both in respect of fishing, as well as perhaps more importantly, seamanship too.

Beach Fishing in the South Hams
The soft golden sands or shingle are home to many different species of sea-life f and this is then reflected in the vast array of species landed, such as Ray, Bass, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Pollack, LSD, Plaice, Bream, Gernard and Bull Huss. Parking is available at most beaches, although this is often very busy in the summer. Baits: for dabs and plaice, good quality rag is ideal. For the larger species, sand eel and prawn are excellent attractors.
Rock Fishing in The south Hams
Extreme rock fishing can be dangerous. To fish you must be aware of the dangers of climbing and walking the coastal rocks and the extreme currents and wave conditions which can change in a matter of seconds. Never the less you can often reap the largest and numbers of fish expected from a boating expedition. Bull Huss, Bass, Pollack are the most hunted fish.
Estuary fish in The south Hams
Most Estuaries are fished with little effort and lots of relaxation from a small boat. However, many estuaries can also be fished from the bank with equally rewarding results. Most Estuaries in the South Hams are fed with a large volume of fresh water from Dartmoor. During the winter months the upper areas produce good flounders while the lower areas where the salt water has the upper hand will produce Cole, Whiting, Pollack and Codling. In the summer month’s good-sized Ray are often landed along with Mackerel, Pollack, Plaice and Bass. Bait: good quality rag worm, squid, peeler crab and lugworm.
