The main riding school will open in the spring of 2009 when the initial redevelopment work has been completed, however Cheston Farm can today offer instruction on your own horse. Once open, the riding school will offer lessons for both children and adults as well as hacking on the moor and lanes for the competent. Lessons will be offered on a private, semi-private or in small group lessons (3-4 riders) on our own horses. Instruction will be offered for all abilities and most riding disciplines. Cheston Farm Equestrian Centre is today owned and managed by Sophie Pattani and Andrew Osborne. Sophie Pattani is a British Horse Society registered instructor with 30 years of horse ownership. Both a competitor (to affiliate level) and judge, Sophie has a strong Pony Club background both as a member and instructor. In order to continually improve and update, Sophie is now training towards her BHS Intermediate Instructor Qualification (BHSII) and regularly trains with Peter Cook and Andy Lovell (both BHSI).
